South Korea announced its strongest policies yet to reduce fine dust.<br /> The National Council on Climate and Air Quality outlined 21 measures giving the issue extra attention, especially from December through March when the pollutant level is at its worst. <br />They include stricter bans on old diesel cars in cities, reducing the operation of coal power plants and cracking down on illegal trash burning in rural areas.<br />From November, the plan should help reduce fine dust emissions by 20 percent from last year's levels,.. to around 23-thousand tons. <br />
